About The Position

Responsible for coaching and training the SAFE Financial Services Staff to achieve expected growth results. Responsible for coaching and training SFS Wealth Advisors, Financial Advisors, and Financial Assistants in all aspects of providing exceptional customer service to existing clients, as well as business development and sales goal achievement. Responsible for coaching and training SAFE branch leaders and employees to have a base-level understanding of wealth management products and services to appropriately identify opportunities to connect SAFE members with SFS Wealth & Financial Advisors through appropriate referral method(s). Responsible for sales performance of all SAFE Financial Services Staff that work in or service the SAFE Credit Union Branch Footprint, covering all sales functions as well as operational support to Operations Coordinator to ensure compliant, efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five or more years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Securities License Series 7/24/66 or 63 and 65.
  • California Life Insurance & Variable Annuity License.
  • Previous credit union or community banking sales management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to prioritize and perform daily tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and complete reports and projects in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently, but to request help when warranted.
  • Ability to give professional customer service on the telephone, as well as in person.
  • Outbound and inbound calling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening skills, and empathy).
  • Expert ability to build relationships with other leaders, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Train and coach SFS Wealth & Financial Advisors in selling, financial planning, time management, and effective and efficient portfolio management, and utilizing the Portfolio Consulting Team for asset management.
  • Lead activities and provide educational materials, market information, and sales tips through frequent sales meetings to support SFS Wealth & Financial Advisors and Assistants to build strong relationships with non-licensed SAFE Branch leaders and staff to generate SAFE member referrals and value to SAFE members.
  • Organize in-branch promotions, seminars, and prospecting programs. Regularly attend branch events including manager meetings (reporting sales successes and challenges), team-building and social events, and occasionally present at branch-wide calls to give updates or training to ensure program success.
  • Onboard and train new SFS Wealth & Financial Advisors on product features, benefits, paperwork, IRAs, Roth IRAs, trustee-to-trustee transfers, 1035 exchanges, customer profiling and asset allocation, insurance, etc.
  • Assist SFS & Financial Advisors with Sales & Financial Planning Presentations to members as needed to ensure goal achievement.
  • Create action plans and provide training & coaching to underperforming Advisors and Assistants, to elevate performance to expected levels as determined through the SFS Advisor Scorecard.
  • Monitor AUM Product Mix of each SFS Wealth & Financial Advisor and assist with shifting product mix when/as necessary to maximize value to members/clients/SAFE.
  • Provide training to create deeper client relationships and to recognize opportunities to appropriately segment clients so all accounts are appropriately managed.
  • Be a systems expert to effectively use and train on program technology such as Salesforce, Advisys, and Riskalyze. Montor usage, and track and report regularly.
  • Recognize and reward performance among the team.
  • Introduce and explain the features and value of all new products to SFS Staff.
  • Coordinate wholesaler and vendor visits.
  • Enforce suitability and compliance with representatives, assist with client complaints, and mediate internal disputes.
  • Support the needs of the SFS team each business day.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
