About The Position

Bankjoy is a Y Combinator and Bessemer Venture Partner backed FinTech startup. They are focused on transforming community banks and credit unions into tech-driven, digital-first institutions by providing modern digital banking products such as mobile banking, online banking, online account opening, loan origination, and conversational AI. Their mission is to revolutionize banking tech infrastructure through digital transformation. The company is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its growing team and play a critical role in supporting sales efforts as Bankjoy continues to scale. This role involves close collaboration with Account Executives, Product Management, and Engineering to deliver a seamless experience from initial discovery through solution design and handoff to implementation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or technical pre-sales roles within enterprise SaaS or fintech organizations
  • Proven success supporting complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and technical integrations
  • Strong experience working with financial institutions, digital banking platforms, or regulated technology environments
  • Demonstrated ability to design and communicate technical solutions to both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience leading technical discovery sessions, solution architecture discussions, and product demonstrations
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and enterprise system architectures
  • Experience responding to RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical due diligence processes
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with senior technical stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the full sales cycle to serve as the senior technical subject matter expert on Bankjoy’s digital banking platform and solutions
  • Lead complex technical discovery and solution design conversations with prospective financial institutions, including architecture, integrations, security, and operational workflows
  • Deliver compelling, executive-level product demonstrations tailored to each prospect’s technical environment and strategic priorities
  • Design scalable solution architectures that align Bankjoy’s platform capabilities with prospective clients’ business and technical requirements
  • Build trusted technical relationships with key stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, IT leaders, and operations teams
  • Own the technical response process for RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and due diligence requests
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer feedback, identify product gaps, and influence roadmap priorities
  • Provide technical leadership during complex sales opportunities, including proof-of-concepts, integrations, and technical validation exercises
  • Support industry conferences, client meetings, and product presentations to strengthen Bankjoy’s market presence and pipeline development
  • Partner with Implementation and Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to onboarding and production
