About The Position

Inked Brands is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Sales Director to lead the growth and expansion of our wholesale, mass retail, marketplace, and key account business. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue, profitability, and long-term brand growth across multiple channels. The Senior Sales Director will oversee relationships with major retail partners, including Target, Walmart, and other national accounts, while identifying new opportunities across consumer packaged goods (CPG), specialty retail, grocery, and emerging channels. This leader will work cross-functionally with product development, marketing, operations, and finance to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives and achievement of company objectives. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with extensive experience managing national retail accounts, developing growth strategies, and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
  • Experience managing national retail accounts, including Target, Walmart, and other mass retail customers strongly preferred.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing new business opportunities.
  • Experience leading annual business planning, forecasting, and strategic account development.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale, retail, ecommerce, and omnichannel sales environments.
  • Experience with ERP and sales management platforms such as NetSuite, Brandwise/MarketTime, Faire, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s wholesale and mass retail sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Lead relationships and negotiations with key national retailers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Drive growth across existing accounts including Target, Walmart, and other national retail channels while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Develop annual sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and growth initiatives across all wholesale channels.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with product development and marketing teams to align product assortment, pricing, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead strategic planning for key account presentations, line reviews, category reviews, and annual business meetings.
  • Oversee account forecasting and inventory planning in collaboration with operations and supply chain teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution and increase brand presence across retail channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers, brokers, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Represent Inked Brands at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events; travel as needed to support business growth.
  • Develop and mentor sales team members while establishing clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Create reporting frameworks and KPIs to monitor channel performance and communicate results to leadership.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to support long-term growth strategies.
