About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Sales Demand Planning Manager to join our Sales & Business Development team! This position will support the Director of Business Development and the Sales team by leading the sales demand planning function within our organization, with the goal to develop accurate sales forecasts and effectively communicate these forecasts to the rest of the organization. You will act as project lead to implement tools and software to enhance the demand planning process for the organization. As a managerial role you will lead the Customer Service team to ensure our customers have the most up to date and accurate information about their orders in a timely manner. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead our planning process by ensuring timely accurate forecasts are built and kept up to date, and by providing this information to various internal departments through efficient and effective reporting and communication. You will lead the Sales Demand Review Meetings as part of our S&OP team and provide input into improvements to our S&OP process so that the organization is better able to deliver on our forecasting KPIs. You will roll up the sales forecasts on a regular basis to present to the executive leadership team our sales revenue latest estimate (LE). You will have the opportunity to lead multiple projects from start to finish and grow with the company as we continue to expand and build our planning and reporting capabilities! Your effective leadership and development of processes and reporting will continue to allow our Customer Service team to provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Degree/Diploma in Business or related field.
  • Experience building effective alliances with both internal teams and customers.
  • Experience in a demand planning and/or trade spend management system.
  • Superb knowledge of an effective S&OP process within a manufacturing/sales organization and the ability to lead the team to ensure that Sales Demand plans are considered as part of the process.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the expectation to lead regular sales team and supply chain discussions pertaining to forecasts internally and externally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and respectfully challenge the teams when warranted.
  • Excellent project management and execution skills.
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and management of large amounts of data.
  • Ability to efficiently create effective presentations and reports, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, that clearly illustrates forecast summaries and relevant KPIs, as well as order status for customers.
  • Ability to analyze trends and draw insights to more accurately predict the future volume requirements of the business.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to generate and use accurate data to determine the best path forward.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales demand planning function within the organization to develop accurate sales forecasts and communicate them effectively.
  • Act as project lead to implement tools and software to enhance the demand planning process.
  • Lead the Customer Service team to ensure customers have accurate and timely information about their orders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate forecasts are built and kept up to date, and provide this information to various internal departments through reporting and communication.
  • Lead the Sales Demand Review Meetings as part of the S&OP team and provide input into improvements to the S&OP process.

  • Develop processes and reporting to enable the Customer Service team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work with the sales team, customers, and distributors to ensure baseline and incremental forecasts are accurately updated in the Sales system and communicated within the organization.
  • Establish volume forecasts for all products at the SKU and customer level (direct and indirect).
  • Analyze current sales trends and insights to deliver more accurate ongoing product forecasts by customer.
  • Lead collaborative monthly forecasting meetings with sales managers and S&OP meetings with cross functional teams.
  • Own, generate, and effectively communicate meaningful sales and forecast reporting.
  • Lead and execute improvement ideas to streamline the business and improve processes enabling the best possible demand forecast, including implementation of a new Demand Planning Software.
  • Lead the Customer Service Team to ensure orders are entered accurately, timely and ensure the team has the tools available so that they can clearly communicate the status of those orders from receipt of the PO to delivery to the customer.
