The Senior Safety & Security Advisor is responsible for working with the security team to provide a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff. This role involves conducting investigations of accidents and incidents to identify resolutions and reduce future occurrences, assisting the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a safe and secure Center environment, and ensuring Center compliance with PRH and OSHA safety and health requirements. The position also involves complying with DOL/Company reporting requirements, participating in student/staff safety awards programs, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing safety/security data to resolve issues, and coordinating staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised. Additionally, the role ensures all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements, conducts and documents Center-wide safety and accident prevention training, and performs incident and accident investigations per established timelines. The Senior Safety & Security Advisor ensures Center compliance with all PRH and other DOL, Job Corps, and Company safety directives, conducts routine safety inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities, and is responsible for Center security, visitor control, and student accountability. The position also ensures compliance with the Center’s Environmental Health Program, produces quality work in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner, maintains appropriate personal attendance and productivity standards, and plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines. The role requires understanding and applying job knowledge, proactively maintaining necessary skills, and mentoring, monitoring, and modeling Career Success Standards. It also involves providing high-quality supervision and management for the student population, positively influencing student behavior, and showing respect and courtesy while holding students accountable. In terms of operational support, the role provides timely support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services, pursues improvements in Center operations, exchanges ideas clearly and concisely, and contributes meaningfully to group efforts. The position provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested, articulates thoughts and ideas effectively, identifies problems, analyzes causes, evaluates solutions, and follows up to ensure problems are corrected. It also involves working in partnership with staff from all departments and accepting direction from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including temporary assignments to perform responsibilities of other departments and positions.
