About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on Fidelity Digital Assets’ DeFi Yield Gen Platform team, you will collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, and architects to develop a secure crypto yield generation platform using modern software development practices. As a senior team member, you will mentor engineers on software development best practices. The DeFi Yield Gen team is responsible for the frontend, backend services, and APIs that support the DeFi Yield Generation Platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience using programming languages such as Rust.
• Hands-on experience building resilient services in Rust.
• Proficiency in databases and SQL.
• Understanding of microservice architecture.
• Ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environments.
• Experience building unit and integration tests.
• Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins Core.
• Critical thinking skills for building end-to-end solutions.
• Ability to work in a small agile team and independently, with a strong user focus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains such as Ethereum.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with asynchronous workers and resilient messaging services such as SNS and SQS.

Responsibilities

• Develop a secure crypto yield generation platform using modern software development practices.
• Mentor engineers on software development best practices.
• Participate in code and design reviews, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipelines.
• Build end-to-end software solutions and collaborate with technical leaders, architects, and engineers.
