About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on the DeFi Yield Gen Platform team, you will collaborate with engineers across Fidelity to develop a secure crypto yield generation platform using modern software development practices. You will work closely with technical leaders and architects, mentor engineers on software development best practices, and contribute to the frontend, backend services, and APIs supporting the DeFi Yield Generation Platform.

Fidelity Digital Assets is developing an enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading, and servicing digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Its DeFi Yield Gen team builds the frontend, backend services, and APIs for the DeFi Yield Generation Platform. Fidelity describes its culture as entrepreneurial and startup-minded, with a diverse team working to connect traditional institutional investors with digital assets.

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Current onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve; the transition does not apply to fully remote roles. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Hiring may be restricted by laws and regulations related to certain criminal histories.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of progressive software engineering experience using programming languages such as Rust.
• Hands-on experience building resilient services in Rust.
• Proficiency in databases and SQL.
• Understanding of microservice architecture.
• Experience building unit and integration tests.
• Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins Core.
• Critical thinking skills to build end-to-end solutions.
• Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks and develop with them.
• Ability to work in a small agile team and independently, with a strong user focus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains such as Ethereum.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with asynchronous workers and resilient messaging services such as SNS and SQS.
