The client has been building solutions for mobile apps, effortless payment, business travel, and advertising since 1992. The customer is developing a mobility platform that allows operators to manage their vehicles and drivers efficiently, regulators to be informed and establish guidelines, service providers to deliver sustainable solutions, and riders to have an effortless transit experience. The project is a taxi ordering service. The user can hail a taxi, monitor an ordered taxi, pay for a ride, and see trip history. The system contains the following components: Ride server (all data processing); Payment server (PCI DSS-compliant), which performs a transaction with the passenger's digital wallet and payment gateways; Mobile application (hail taxi, geocoding, map, payments); Taxi terminal (3rd party). The project integrates with 3rd party services, including PayPal, MasterPass, Stripe, and Twilio. Team: 1 Team Lead, 1 UI Developers, 6 Back-End Developers, 9 Mobile Developers, 5 QA, 2 BA and 2 Designer.

Requirements

Strong Ruby Development Skills: Experienced Ruby developer with a solid background in software development
Containers & Orchestration: Strong, practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience working with the AWS stack
Database Expertise: Proven experience with database optimization
CI/CD Automation: Experience with CI automation and infrastructure processes
Mindset: Enjoys working on performance, reliability, and infrastructure, rather than building standard product features
English level Upper-Intermediate

Responsibilities

Write real code for autoscaling, internal tooling, and operational automation
Improve the overall performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications
Work directly on database optimization, containerized environments, and continuous delivery
Enhance automated CI processes and development pipelines
Maintain, optimize, and manage applications across our Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS stack
