About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Platform Software Engineer with strong C++ development expertise on Linux. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ROS2, including nodes, drivers, custom messages, lifecycle management, and DDS/QoS. This role also requires experience with Embedded Linux, hardware-software integration, and EtherCAT (SOEM, IgH, motion control, industrial communication). You will be responsible for interfacing with embedded controllers over various protocols and have experience with NVIDIA Jetson development. Sensor integration and real-time systems experience are crucial for this position.

Requirements

  • Strong C++ development expertise on Linux.
  • Hands-on ROS2 development including nodes, drivers, custom messages, lifecycle management, and DDS/QoS.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and hardware-software integration.
  • EtherCAT experience including SOEM, IgH, motion control, and industrial communication.
  • Experience interfacing with embedded controllers over Ethernet, UDP, Serial, and CAN/CANopen.
  • NVIDIA Jetson development experience including JetPack, Docker, and CUDA exposure.
  • Sensor integration experience with cameras, IMUs, depth sensors, and tactile/force sensors.
  • Real-time systems experience including PREEMPT_RT Linux, latency-sensitive applications, control loops, and deterministic communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robotics platform software using C++ on Linux.
  • Implement ROS2 nodes, drivers, and custom messages.
  • Manage ROS2 lifecycle and configure DDS/QoS.
  • Integrate hardware and software on Embedded Linux systems.
  • Utilize EtherCAT for motion control and industrial communication.
  • Interface with embedded controllers via Ethernet, UDP, Serial, and CAN/CANopen.
  • Develop on NVIDIA Jetson platforms using JetPack, Docker, and CUDA.
  • Integrate various sensors including cameras, IMUs, depth sensors, and tactile/force sensors.
  • Ensure real-time performance for latency-sensitive applications and control loops.
