About The Position

WSP USA is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer to join its Transportation team in the Wichita, Kansas office. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex and impactful transportation projects in Kansas. The Wichita team delivers projects for clients and mentors and develops team members for future opportunities. The engineer will lead project tasks and design teams, provide technical expertise throughout project stages, and collaborate with clients and staff across disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of experience in the transportation engineering field.
• Professional Engineer's license in Kansas.
• Hands-on experience with OpenRoads Designer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience managing small- to mid-size projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks and design teams in executing projects.
• Provide technical expertise during preliminary design, final design, and contract documentation, including cost estimates and specifications.
• Discuss technical issues arising during design and propose solutions.
• Maintain positive team and client relationships.
• Collaborate with key staff across disciplines, such as drainage and structures.
