About The Position

WSP USA is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer to join its Transportation team in the Wichita, Kansas office. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex and impactful transportation projects in Kansas. The Wichita team delivers client projects while mentoring and developing team members for future opportunities. The position leads project tasks and design teams, provides technical expertise across preliminary and final design and contract documentation, and collaborates with clients and multidisciplinary colleagues. WSP describes its workplace model as flexible and agile while meeting client needs.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.
At least 5 years of experience in the transportation engineering field.
Professional Engineer license in Kansas.
Hands-on experience with OpenRoads Designer.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Engineering.
Experience managing small- to mid-size projects.

Responsibilities

Lead tasks and design teams in project execution.
Provide technical expertise during preliminary design, final design, and preparation of contract documentation, including cost estimates and specifications.
Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design.
Maintain positive team and client relationships.
Collaborate with key staff across disciplines, such as drainage and structures, as required.
