About The Position

AtkinsRéalis seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Atlanta, Georgia office team as a Senior Roadway Engineer working on various Highway and Roadway projects. Your role will involve assisting in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, potentially supervising the production of these drawings. You will also execute assignments in preparing and assembling specifications, and participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions. You will prepare assigned sections of reports under close review, and participate on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings, assisting in recordkeeping and generating progress reports, observing construction procedures, and collecting samples for quality control testing. You will also perform data acquisition and analysis, research the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations. Additionally, you will prepare material for reports and permit applications, gather information, draft outlines, and prepare work progression documents and graphic presentations. Notable projects are located in Georgia and nationally.

Requirements

  • BS and/or MS in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Must have highway/roadway design experience.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • DOT experience required, GDOT preferred.
  • Georgia PE required or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D recommended but not required.

Responsibilities
