This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 8+ years of relevant civil road/highway design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration
  • DOT project experience
  • Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • OpenRoads Designer experience/proficiency is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of roadway projects, including concept, preliminary and final design.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including AASHTO, FHWA, and state DOT requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews.
