Responsibilities
- Work with Risk and Underwriting teams to implement strategies to reduce or prevent fraudulent activities and credit and fraud losses
- Perform deep credit and fraud analysis on merchant processing activity, financials, and/or profiles to assess and mitigate risk
- Identify opportunities to enhance risk management operations on a day-to-day basis
- Perform risk reviews based on daily activity or periodic cadences
- Review risk losses on a monthly basis and adjust the approach based on findings
- Coach and mentor teams at Gravity and external clients on risk operations and best practices
- Manage parameters across the portfolio to ensure a smooth merchant experience while limiting financial risk exposure
- Develop an understanding of the portfolio and adjust policies and reviews accordingly
- Collaborate with merchants, Sales teams, Customer Facing Teams, and Underwriting teams to solve risk-related issues
- Identify trends and conduct root-cause analysis to isolate key performance drivers
- Problem-solve complex situations with merchants and partners to find mutually desired solutions
- Utilize data manipulation and quantitative analysis to manage credit risk exposure across a large portfolio
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience in risk analysis and management
- Curiosity, flexibility, and care with internal/external customers

- 5-10 years of previous Risk Analyst experience in the payments industry
- Experience with Risk at an ISO and/or working with Fiserv/First Data
- Knowledge of card brand and processor rules
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
- Demonstrated success in finding creative solutions
