Senior Risk Analyst

The job overview for this position is that the ideal candidate will help build a risk foundation for Gravity Payments, focusing on risk analysis and management. They will be responsible for developing operations to enhance risk practices and create a positive merchant experience. The candidate will have the opportunity to create new processes, implement new technologies, and coach and develop team members. They should possess skills in credit and fraud analysis, risk management, and problem-solving, and have previous experience in the payments industry.

• Work with Risk and Underwriting teams to implement strategies that reduce or prevent fraudulent activities and credit and fraud losses
• Perform deep credit and fraud analysis on merchant processing activity, financials, and/or profiles to assess and mitigate risk
• Identify opportunities to enhance risk management operations on a day-to-day basis
• Perform risk reviews based on daily activity or periodic cadences
• Review risk losses on a monthly basis across all channels and adjust the approach based on findings
• Coach and mentor teams at Gravity and external clients on risk operations and best practices
• Manage parameters across the portfolio to ensure a smooth merchant experience while limiting financial risk exposure
• Develop an understanding of the portfolio and adjust policies and reviews accordingly
• Interact with merchants, Sales teams, Customer Facing Teams, and Underwriting teams to solve risk-related issues collaboratively and with a sense of urgency
• Identify trends and conduct root-cause analysis to isolate key performance drivers
• Creatively problem-solve complex situations with merchants and partners to find mutually desired solutions
• Utilize data manipulation and quantitative analysis to manage credit risk exposure across a large portfolio

• Experience with Risk at an ISO and/or working with Fiserv/First Data

• Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $170,000
