About The Position

QBE is seeking a Senior RHEL Engineer in Fort Gordon, Georgia, to analyze, engineer, and improve the Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and OpenShift virtualization platform supporting Scalable GEOINT. The engineer will automate and improve systems, troubleshoot problems, and help deliver properly configured virtual servers to GEOINT sites.

The role involves investigating technical, business, and data-processing problems and translating findings, user requirements, and pain points into system improvements and automation. The engineer will assess system capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints; recommend commercial software to address gaps; and help configure hosted enterprise virtual servers with appropriate storage, redundancy, networking, and virtual hardware. The position works with small, embedded teams supporting defense and federal customers. The role may be performed in an office, remote, or hybrid environment based on program requirements.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in systems administration or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Significant systems analysis experience.
• Expert knowledge of virtualization technologies, specifically Red Hat OpenShift.
• DoWM 8140.03 baseline certification and CE certification before privileged access.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (highly desired).
• RHEL systems engineering experience.
