About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Revenue Operations Analyst to support Spotify’s global Order-to-Cash operations and revenue close process. You’ll work at the intersection of accounting and operations, helping ensure accurate financial reporting while building processes and systems that can scale with our business. In this role, you’ll partner across Finance, Engineering, Tax, Sales, and other teams to solve complex operational challenges, strengthen our revenue processes, and support Spotify’s continued growth.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience across revenue accounting, revenue operations, general ledger accounting, public accounting, or a related area, along with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• A strong understanding of the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle and core accounting concepts, including accruals, deferrals, multi-entity or multi-currency accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience executing or troubleshooting e-invoicing workflows in a global, multi-entity environment
• Comfortable working with ERP and billing systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms
• Strong Excel and analytical skills and are comfortable working with large, complex datasets
• Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment and collaborating with internal or external auditors
• Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams and can organize competing priorities during deadline-driven close periods
• Experience working in a global technology, digital advertising, media, podcasting, or entertainment environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SQL, BigQuery, or data visualization tools is valuable
• A CPA/CA qualification or progress toward one is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly and quarterly revenue close, including journal entries, revenue accruals, deferrals, and manual adjustments in accordance with IFRS
• Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations across statutory books and consolidated ledgers, and analyze month-end movements across revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and related accounts
• Manage global e-invoicing operations across subsidiaries, partnering with Tax to understand local requirements and resolve invoice delivery, data, and validation issues
• Support day-to-day global Order-to-Cash operations, including manual billing and accounts receivable activities
• Maintain strong financial controls and support SOX, ITGC, and internal and external audit requirements
• Identify operational bottlenecks and partner with IT and Financial Engineering to design, test, and implement system enhancements, automated workflows, and controls
• Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Tax, Technical Accounting, and other partners on revenue policies, programs, and strategic initiatives
• Mentor and support accounting team members and external vendor partners, while contributing to operational metrics, integrations, and special projects
