About The Position

The Senior Revenue Cycle Architect serves as a senior individual contributor responsible for designing and advancing enterprise strategies that improve revenue performance across the Revenue Cycle Continuum. This role focuses on identifying opportunities to enhance net revenue, reduce leakage, and accelerate cash through scalable, data-driven frameworks. Partnering closely with Revenue Cycle leadership, Finance, IT, and operational teams, the Architect translates complex financial and operational data into actionable strategies and implementation roadmaps. This position combines strategic thought leadership with practical execution planning to drive measurable, sustainable improvement across Jefferson Health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Health Informatics or related field.
  • 10 years' experience in revenue cycle, finance, healthcare consulting or performance improvement within a complex health system.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and implementing revenue cycle improvements with measurable financial impact
  • Experience working across operations, finance, and IT in matrixed environments
  • Extensive revenue management knowledge and experience. Requires a breadth and mastery of technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in project plan development, workflow analysis, and managing complex process improvement/change management projects.
  • Ability to drive change and positive results and respond to difficult situations with ease.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio) and standard project management software (i.e., spreadsheets, databases, graphics, presentation tools, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple large multi-functional/interdisciplinary and highly visible projects having a system-wide scope of responsibility and impact.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrently running projects and adapt to changing deadlines, competing priorities and unexpected assignments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, cross functional collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Ability to influence results, garner support and tactfully manage complex relationships across the Jefferson Health facilities.
  • Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience supporting and developing reporting and analytics for research, process improvement/change management support and specific revenue management function.
  • Ability to develop appropriate methods to collect, analyze and report data.
  • Must possess deep analytical, quantitative, evaluative and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on the Revenue Cycle Value Creation roadmap, identifying enterprise opportunities to improve yield, reduce leakage, and accelerate cash.
  • Define future-state workflows and operating models aligned to organizational financial goals and system capabilities.
  • Leverage Epic and business intelligence tools (Power BI) to identify actionable revenue opportunities.
  • Support development of predictive and trend-based analytics to inform proactive decision-making.
  • Lead and support a portfolio of high-value, cross-functional initiatives focused on revenue cycle improvement.
  • Provide structured guidance to project teams; influence direction without direct reporting authority.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Revenue Cycle, Finance, and executive leadership on complex revenue cycle challenges.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions, working sessions, and decision-making forums.
  • Support development of data definitions, reporting standards, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and consistency across the enterprise.
  • Bridge operational workflows and system capabilities to ensure alignment between design and measurable outcomes.
  • Evaluate and support adoption of advanced analytics and automation tools (including AI where appropriate) to enhance revenue cycle performance.
  • Monitor external benchmarks (e.g., HFMA) to inform internal targets and identify leading practices.
