Senior Revenue Accountant
About The Position
AppDirect is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant with a solid foundation in revenue accounting and expertise in ASC 606. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-moving close cycle, demonstrating meticulous care in both routine journal entries and complex multi-element arrangements. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional partners in Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations, understanding that revenue accuracy is a team effort. The candidate should be naturally curious about systems and processes, with an instinct to identify and fix manual workarounds, and possess a sharp eye for detail due to the significant downstream impact of revenue errors on financial reporting and business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on revenue accounting experience, with direct exposure to ASC 606 or IFRS 15
- Working knowledge of NetSuite ARM, used regularly to support close and reporting activities
- Proven ability to review complex contract terms and translate them into accurate revenue accounting conclusions

Responsibilities
- Review and analyze non-standard contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, and document your conclusions clearly for audit readiness
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for one business unit, working to tight deadlines with a focus on accuracy
- Partner with system teams to improve how we use our revenue systems, reducing manual effort and increasing the reliability of our revenue data
- Identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities in the revenue recognition and close process, and drive improvements from idea through to implementation
- Support M&A revenue integration work, helping new business units transition smoothly into our existing revenue processes
- Assist with the external audit process and contribute to cross-functional ad hoc projects that have a direct impact on how we scale revenue operations globally
