Senior Respiratory Therapist – Full Time, Day Shift. As a Senior Respiratory Therapist, you’ll perform all core RRT responsibilities plus a wide range of specialized cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, ensuring safe, accurate testing and high‑quality patient care. You’ll ensure accurate procedures, monitor patient safety, and help maintain seamless departmental operations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree minimum)
  • Current Oklahoma RCP license or Provisional Letter (valid until Board meeting date listed)
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and maintained
  • BLS required until ACLS obtained
  • ACLS and PALS required within six (6) months of hire; annual recertification required
  • SECURE training required within six (6) months of hire
  • 1–3 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Typing and basic computer skills required

Responsibilities

  • Completing diagnostic procedures — Stress Tests, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), EEGs, EKGs, Holter Monitoring, Pentamidine treatments, and more
  • Ensuring proper electrode placement and accurate performance of EEG, EKG, Stress Testing, and Holter studies
  • Assessing and monitoring patient condition and recognizing potentially critical situations during testing
  • Performing full PFT testing including Pre/Post bronchodilator, DLCO, Plethysmography, and Slow Vital Capacity
  • Conducting advanced testing such as Histamine/Methacholine Challenge and Nitrogen Washout
  • Setting up and downloading Holter monitors
  • Delivering safe, accurate respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary difficulties
  • Supporting smooth departmental operations and participating in rotating call for the testing department
