This is an exciting opportunity within the City of Raleigh’s Building and Safety Division of the Planning and Development Department. Due to the expansion of our residential multi-trade inspector team, we are looking to add an additional Residential Assistant Chief Inspector. This role will provide guidance to the field inspectors, assist with challenging residential projects, perform on-site training and audits to provide consistency within the team, and co-ordinate workflow. This position involves communication with various project stakeholders, including city leadership and the public. The ideal candidate shall have strong communication skills, be well organized, and a proactive problem solver. A positive attitude and collaborative spirit are essential. The candidate is required to possess knowledge of construction processes and materials. All four trade groups perform an average of 600 inspections a day in Raleigh!
