About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to lead research advancing AI models and agents for cybersecurity and apply them to important security problems. The role focuses on improving capabilities including security reasoning, code and system understanding, planning, tool use, long-horizon investigation, and collaboration with human defenders. It also applies these capabilities to vulnerability discovery, secure development, threat and anomaly detection, malware and attack analysis, incident investigation, security validation, and automated defense. The scientist will advance models, agent architectures, data, training and post-training methods, and evaluations for cybersecurity, while addressing the needs of real security environments: high precision, robustness to adaptive adversaries, explainability, privacy, secure deployment, and effective human oversight. The position connects foundational AI and security research with practical tools and workflows that improve prevention, detection, investigation, and response. The researcher will help set research direction, influence future platforms, and translate foundational advances into practical capabilities with research, product, and engineering teams. The position also involves building and evaluating prototypes in realistic environments, publishing original research, mentoring researchers and interns, and helping translate research advances into deployed capabilities.
