ICF’s Global Health and Development Practice seeks a Senior Research Methodologist to serve as Principal Investigator (PI) for a grant-funded, two-year methodological experiment. The study will compare hybrid phone and in-person survey designs with contemporaneous Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) in two West and Central African countries, each with malaria biomarkers. It will assess how well hybrid approaches preserve representative biomarker data, small area estimation, and measurement performance, under what conditions, and at what cost. The study will produce an evidence-informed decision framework and transferable guidance for the DHS Program and the broader survey-research community. The PI is the study’s single point of technical and coordinating accountability. The role leads a multidisciplinary ICF team and partners closely with in-country co-Principal Investigators at the national statistical offices in each study country. The position is 100% remote/telecommute, with international travel to study countries.
