Senior Research Manager
About The Position
The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking an experienced research management professional to provide strategic oversight of research grants and contracts. This is a continuing, full-time opportunity to make a measurable difference to research outcomes across the faculty. The role involves partnering with academic and professional staff to identify funding opportunities, strengthen grant applications, and manage compliance with funding body requirements, institutional policy, and relevant legislation. The position also contributes to the continuous improvement of research management systems, processes, and capability within the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing complex research grants within a university or large research organisation
- Sound knowledge of Australian competitive funding schemes, including ARC and NHMRC frameworks
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with academic staff and senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail across budgets, contracts, and compliance requirements
- Experience working in research administration
