The Ohodnicki laboratory works on magnetic and photonic materials and device research and development for a range of applications. Emphasis is placed upon fiber optic and photonic sensors as well as magnetic and electromagnetic materials for electric power conversion and microwave applications. A combination of materials synthesis, characterization, and development facilities are complemented by expertise and capabilities in electronics, photonics, and multi-physics finite element simulations. An interdisciplinary facility that houses an extensive set of equipment and instrumentation for materials scientists, electrical engineers, computer engineers, chemists, applied physicists, and related engineering and science professionals.
