The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS) at the University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science invites applications for one Senior Research Associate II (SRA II) position. This role is based at the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Fisheries Science Center, Marine Mammal and Turtle Division’s Marine Mammal Molecular Genomics Laboratory in Crowley, Louisiana. The laboratory conducts genomic analysis to support the management and conservation of marine mammals throughout the southeastern U.S. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in environmental DNA (eDNA) laboratory practices and bioinformatics to contribute to ongoing eDNA research. This position is currently funded for 1 year with a possible extension based on funding availability and will be based near Lafayette, Louisiana, with telework flexibility available.
