About The Position

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Senior Reporting and Analytics Analyst position. A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting. The successful candidate will focus primarily on qualitative research, including design, instrument development, conduct, analysis, and reporting. This individual may also support the quantitative survey research or administrative data analysis component of mixed-methods projects. Senior Researchers are expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks, but in some cases, they may also contribute to project leadership and administration. They are expected to complete work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. Senior Researchers typically work on multiple projects at a time and have significant project responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree (master’s degree or a PhD) in a relevant field of study is required.
  • Requires successful completion of a background check.
  • The selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
  • Candidates selected for an interview may be asked to provide a writing sample, complete a qualitative or quantitative instrument design task, complete a quantitative coding test, and/or provide a code sample.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with qualitative data collection and analysis, such as semi-structured interviews, focus groups, or document review.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field of study is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with mixed methods research.
  • Experience with applied health research.
  • Experience with survey research methods.
  • Experience programming survey instruments using platforms such as REDCap or Qualtrics.
  • Experience with statistical programming.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with developing qualitative protocols
  • Assists with designing qualitative data collection instruments including interview guides, focus group guides, observational frameworks, and document review guides
  • Conducts qualitative data collection through semi-structured interviews or other qualitative methods
  • Assists with qualitative data analysis, including rapid qualitative analysis and deductive and inductive methods
  • Assists with the development of reports, presentations, and other deliverables for project sponsors and other audiences
  • Conducts literature searches and literature reviews
  • Assists as a liaison to project partners and sponsors
  • Assists with the development of institutional review board (IRB) applications
  • Assists in survey design, testing of survey instruments, and data checks on collected data
  • Tracks progress on survey fielding and troubleshoots issues with response rates, data quality, and survey administration
  • Participates in survey data collection
  • Assists with research documentation, such as the creation of methodology reports and survey crosswalks
  • Conducts analysis of weighted survey data or administrative data
