About The Position

The Senior Technician serves as a high-level technical expert responsible for advanced repair, calibration, diagnostic testing, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems. This role supports production operations by ensuring all repaired equipment meets quality, performance, and Ready‑to‑Sell standards. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong problem‑solving ability, and the capability to support complex troubleshooting scenarios while mentoring junior technicians and driving continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on bench technician experience
  • Strong understanding of industrial control repair cycles
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must provide own tools as required
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced bench-level electronic and electro-mechanical repairs using industry-standard troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
  • Diagnose and isolate failures at the component level on industrial control equipment
  • Repair, calibrate, program, and test industrial electronics including PLCs, drives, PCBs, servo systems, and control devices
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and test fixtures to verify performance
  • Perform power-up and functional testing to ensure product quality and reliability
  • Inspect, clean, and verify part numbers on all processed units
  • Order and verify correct replacement parts for repairs
  • Accurately document repair actions, troubleshooting steps, and test results in company systems
  • Process units to “RTS” (Ready To Sell) condition in accordance with quality standards
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of all units
  • Identify opportunities to improve repair processes, testing methods, and product quality
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level technicians
  • Share best practices and technical knowledge to support team development
  • Manage workload efficiently to meet productivity and turnaround expectations
  • Properly use and maintain shop assets and test equipment
  • Support development of new repair capabilities including servo and robotics systems
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or work as assigned
