About The Position

As a Senior Rendering Programmer, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Unreal Engine rendering systems that deliver high‑quality visuals while meeting performance and memory targets. You work on performance‑critical rendering features and collaborate closely with Art, Tech Art, Engine, and Gameplay teams. You take ownership of complex rendering systems and contribute to the long‑term evolution of the project’s rendering technology.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C++, with experience developing rendering systems in Unreal Engine.
  • At least 6–8 years of professional experience in game programming, with shipped titles using Unreal Engine.
  • Professional, hands‑on experience working with Unreal Engine rendering pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of real‑time rendering concepts including lighting, shading, materials, and post‑processing.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills for performance‑critical systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Art and Engineering teams.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience optimizing Unreal Engine rendering for performance and memory.
  • Experience working across multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Familiarity with graphics APIs and GPU profiling tools.
  • Strong interest in real‑time rendering and visual fidelity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain rendering systems and features within Unreal Engine.
  • Work on shaders, materials, lighting, post‑processing, and other rendering subsystems.
  • Collaborate with Art and Tech Art to support efficient visual workflows and feature development.
  • Optimize rendering systems for performance, memory usage, and scalability across platforms.
  • Maintain and improve existing rendering code to ensure stability during rapid iteration and production milestones.
  • Debug complex rendering issues involving shaders, GPU performance, lighting, and visual artefacts.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented C++ and shader code following Unreal Engine best practices.
  • Participate in profiling and optimization efforts using Unreal Engine and platform‑specific tools.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and provide input on rendering architecture and improvements.
  • Support Unreal Engine upgrades and integration of new rendering features.
  • Mentor junior programmers through technical guidance and code reviews.
  • Stay current with Unreal Engine rendering updates and real‑time graphics techniques.
