Senior Reliability Engineer

Leidos•Huntsville, AL
•$131,300 - $237,350

About The Position

Leidos Defense is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to develop solutions for complex problems and support multiple programs in a matrixed organization. The engineer may serve as a Lead RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) Engineer on at least one major program while managing tasking for junior reliability engineers and interfacing with program leadership, customers, and line management. The role manages RAM Engineering work across the Defense Sector and Leidos, including responding to project-manager requests, supporting Basis of Estimation development for proposed RAM work, and shaping the organization’s reliability engineering approach through tool selection and team training. The engineer contributes to reliability artifacts including reliability predictions, MTTR analyses, reliability block diagrams, reports, statistics, FMEA, and FTA. The position emphasizes reliability prediction analysis; experience with production and sustainment activities such as FRACAS is beneficial. The engineer supports programs across varied engineering fields and team environments, from large programs where Leidos is the prime contractor to smaller programs where Leidos is a subcontractor. They collaborate with RAM engineers, systems engineers, and specialty engineers, and may work on programs aligned with their background as well as programs outside their expertise.
