About The Position

Kaseware is seeking a Senior Release Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible for the design, evolution, and operation of the company's continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) platform, primarily built on GitHub Actions. The engineer will set patterns, standards, and reusable components for the engineering organization, integrate security and compliance tooling, and collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure a fast, reliable, and trustworthy code delivery process. The position is architecture-leaning and focuses on delivering mission-critical software for law enforcement, government, and corporate security teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with significant time spent on CI/CD architecture and automation
  • Demonstrated ability to design CI/CD pipelines at the architecture level, reusable patterns, governance, and multi-team standards
  • Deep, hands-on GitHub Actions experience: reusable workflows, composite actions, matrix builds, self-hosted runners, OIDC-based cloud authentication, secrets management, and pipeline optimization at scale
  • Java build tooling expertise – Maven and Gradle – including multi-module projects, dependency management, and build optimization
  • Production experience with ArgoCD and GitOps deployment patterns
  • Strong experience integrating security and compliance tooling such as SCA, SAST and DAST tooling into pipelines including gating policies and triage workflows
  • Cloud platform experience, especially Microsoft Azure (preferred); experience with AWS or GCP is also valuable
  • Comprehensive understanding of Git, branching strategies, and the Git CLI; experience reviewing and standardizing repository workflows across teams
  • Experience supporting compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar), particularly with respect to auditability of build and release processes is strongly preferred
  • Willingness to participate in on-call and incident response rotations supporting the build and delivery platform
