About The Position

The Middle Market Banking & Large Corporate Banking team at a Major International Bank in Atlanta focuses on delivering comprehensive banking solutions to upper middle-market and large corporate clients. The Senior Relationship Manager will develop and manage a portfolio of clients, providing strategic guidance, financial solutions, and transaction support. This role requires a relationship-oriented professional who can drive business development, manage credit risk, and collaborate across internal teams to execute financing transactions.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of experience in Middle Market and Large Corporate Banking.
  • Strong track record of developing and managing client relationships, particularly with upper middle-market clients ($50M–$1B+ in annual revenue).
  • Skilled in loan structuring, business development, and credit quality management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Commercial Banking Training Program is a plus.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial statements, cash flow, and valuations.
  • Client-focused with excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of commercial banking clients and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new client relationships through proactive business development, leveraging referrals, existing clients, and centers of influence.
  • Manage existing client relationships, fully understanding clients’ goals and business operations.
  • Provide strategic advice to help clients achieve business objectives while supporting the bank’s growth.
  • Prepare initial deal screens and assist in drafting full loan presentations/credit approval memorandums.
  • Support loan structuring, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Review financial statements, cash flow, and valuations to assess risk and ensure compliance with lending guidelines.
  • Work closely with Associates, Senior Associates, and Credit teams to execute client requests efficiently.
  • Guide internal teams in preparing portfolio monitoring reports and responding to approval requests.
  • Actively identify and mitigate regulatory, operational, and credit risks.
