About The Position

As a Senior Relationship Assistant you will serve in a highly responsible operational and administrative capacity supporting Relationship Officers and Banking Center leadership in achieving loan production, portfolio management, and client service goals. This role regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion in coordinating loan workflow activities, prioritizing multiple transactions and deadlines, reviewing loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with approved credit structures, resolving operational issues, and facilitating communication between internal and external business partners. The Senior Relationship Assistant functions as a key operational resource within the Banking Center and is expected to demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, analytical ability, initiative, and sound decision-making while managing multiple priorities and supporting efficient lending operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of banking, commercial lending, or loan operations experience
  • Experience reviewing loan documentation and coordinating loan processing activities
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of commercial or small business lending support experience
  • 3+ years of lending documentation or loan administration experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation, collateral, and portfolio management processes
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion with confidential financial information
  • Strong work ethic and ability to complete work accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to think logically in order to analyze situations and make sound decisions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing loan files for completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinating with loan documentation teams
  • Managing post-close follow-up activities
  • Overseeing loan exception tracking and portfolio reporting
  • Coordinating third-party reports including appraisals, title work, environmental investigations, insurance documentation, flood searches, and UCC filings
  • Supporting construction lending activities, loan disbursements, collateral releases, payoff preparation, and loan servicing functions
  • Maintaining accurate loan records and ensuring adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
