Requirements

  • BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk, or related experience preferred.
  • 4+ years business experience, preferably with general insurance knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen with a passion for innovating and driving improvement.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to identify errors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Auto Insurance is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of statistical reporting to General Insurance Statistical Agency (GISA)/ Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA).
  • Perform regular error analysis to identify user/system issues. Recommend corrective actions.
  • Respond to any inquiries regarding the company's statistical filings in a timely manner to reduce the risk of escalations with the regulators. Work with underwriting and claims, as applicable, to address these inquiries and track their status.
  • Reconcile all regulatory statistical filings to internal numbers on a daily /monthly /quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate statistical reporting changes with internal teams. Assist the development teams with requirements for new/existing systems, and new automation processes to improve data quality and efficiency.
  • Manage quarterly meetings with representatives from underwriting, claims, compliance, and other stakeholders to discuss Auto regulatory bulletins. Work with the business to develop appropriate action plans and monitor the status of those action plans to ensure target dates are met.
  • Perform monthly complaint monitoring and issue Quarterly Trending Report to management. Provide annual training for Complaint Handlers.
  • Coordinate any other regulatory reporting work that may arise.
  • Other duties, as assigned
