About The Position

In this role, you will identify, investigate, and recommend improvements, modifications and additions to the pipeline system or operational processes and procedures related to maintaining asset health and reliability.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario or other provincial body.
  • Minimum 7 years’ engineering experience.
  • Technical and working knowledge of the pipeline industry design and construction codes.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time and meet defined timelines.
  • Proven ability in planning, organizing, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • You will undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical.
  • Valid passport is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years’ plus experience in pipelines/oil & gas would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Open System Job Plan reviews.
  • Prepare and provide approval for Alternate Isolation Plans for regional OPEX and Core CAPEX projects, as well as site specific procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports on special projects/assignments.
  • Manage, as part of the Maintenance & Reliability Program, Maximo Service Requests issued to engineering by the field staff.
  • Coordinate and/or support mechanical equipment failure investigations as a technical resource. This includes assessing, identifying, and implementing strategic opportunities to minimize system operation impacts of projects or equipment failures.
  • Support operations and maintenance personnel in resolving rotating equipment issues such as pump vibration, alignment, and instrument relocations due to vibration and cracking.
