About The Position

Pinchin is seeking a motivated leader to join their Insurance Services team in the Prairies/Western Canada region. This role is a key element of Pinchin's strategic plan, offering significant career growth opportunities as the National Team expands. Pinchin is a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm focused on making buildings and environments better through expertise in environmental services, compliance, building science, occupational health and safety, sustainability, and engineering. The Senior Regional Insurance Service Leader will be responsible for leading and growing Pinchin’s regional Insurance portfolio, focusing on achieving regional Insurance Net Revenue targets, ensuring consistent delivery quality, technical excellence, and client satisfaction. The role provides leadership in either Hygiene (asbestos, mould, flood, fire, water damage) or Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation (spills, soil cleanup, remediation) services.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years experience working with Insurance companies, restoration contractors, or adjusters.
  • Proven record of business development and client relationship management within the Insurance and restoration sector.
  • Demonstrate effective technical experience and understanding with the field of specialization (i.e., environmental engineering/geoscience (EDR like), spill response, contaminant remediation and litigation support).
  • Strong written and verbal skills; able to deliver clear reports and reassure clients during stressful situations.
  • Experience mentoring staff at all levels and collaborating across disciplines to deliver complex Insurance projects.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, unpredictable environments; willing to travel and respond to urgent situations outside normal hours.
  • Committed to health and safety best practices, with relevant training and diligence in hazard assessments and PPE.
  • Understanding of Insurance processes and financial targets, with a focus on service quality and profitability.

  • Professional designations (P. Eng, P. Geo, EIT/GIT, CET/AScT, CIH/ROH, CRSP/CRST, EP) are assets.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
  • Candidates who are able to efficiently qualify for Government security clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed regional Insurance Net Revenue targets.
  • Monitor project pipelines, utilization, and forecasting within the region.
  • Lead business development initiatives targeting insurers, adjusters, restoration firms, and brokers.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with key Insurance and restoration partners.
  • Ensure consistency in project delivery, documentation, and reporting across service lines.
  • Support and align emergency response procedures and resources mobilization.
  • Ensure proper staffing coverage for the on-call program, while providing oversight of field response and reporting quality.
  • Work alongside Regional EVPs and Directors to integrate Insurance workflows with core service delivery.
  • Mentor staff to strengthen technical skills and client responsiveness.
  • Support recruitment activities and professional development of regional team members.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and commitment to assisting clients when emergencies occur.
  • Maintain flexibility and responsiveness, as Insurance losses can happen at any time.
  • Coordinate and manage the emergency response program, while contributing to the development of a formal on-call and emergency response compensation structure.
