About The Position

This position provides real property data analysis to Department of War (DoW) customers at the Fort Polk, LA Directorate of Public Works (DPW). The Senior Real Property Specialist will conduct quality control over their products before they are sent to the Real Property Accountable Officer (RPAO). The Senior Real Property Specialist position will focus on maintaining real property financial data in the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to ensure that Fort Polk remains audit ready. The ideal candidate should have experience with financial audits and GFEBS, possess great organizational skills, and be an effective communicator with the government client. This role provides support by performing GFEBS data analysis, updates, inputs, reports, and edits. The Senior Real Property Specialist will also ensure that reporting in GFEBS is consistent with information in the real property physical and digital folders including financial transactions with construction agents and maintenance records. Tasks include tracking construction projects across the installation, maintaining financial records, conducting physical inventories of Army-owned real property including taking measurements of facilities, ensuring data adheres to business rules, assembling and submitting samples for audit, and assisting Fort Polk civilian personnel with analysis tasks. They will review financial asset records to make sure reporting is complete and accurate. The Senior Real Property Specialist will work closely with the Areli Senior GIS Specialist to validate real property measurements (previous experience with GIS technologies is not a requirement). Understanding office automation and quick learning of modern technologies is critical. Previous work with GFEBS is strongly preferred. The candidate must display proficiency and a solid understanding of diverse types of structures, building uses, asset category codes, construction terminology, business-related computer systems, and office equipment within 30 days of hire. Within 60 days, the candidate must display proficiency in GFEBS real property management and business best practices. The Senior Real Property Specialist is required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, troubleshoot, problem-solve, and implement processes. The Senior Real Property Specialist will work closely with the Real Property Specialist and Senior GIS Specialist. The position reports to the Areli onsite Project Manager.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years of administrative clerical experience
  • 1-2 years of GFEBS RP experience to include running reports
  • Familiarity with HQDA InSITE and Headquarters Installation Information System (HQIIS)
  • RP Audit experience
  • Professional customer service skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clear speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • Must pass and maintain a National Agency Check Investigation (NACI)
