About The Position

This position is responsible for operating raw water pump stations, electrical systems, and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The role also involves overseeing subordinate staff, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various equipment such as pumps, motors, tanks, vaults, pipelines, and valves. Additionally, the operator will maintain grounds, easements, and vehicles, prepare reports, and manage related files. This position is assigned to the Lake Chapman raw water system at the booster station located 12 miles east of McKinney, just outside of Princeton, Texas. Availability for callback in emergency situations with a maximum 90-minute emergency response time is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Some college or vocational training in a related field
• Three years of experience in water system maintenance with at least one year of pumping experience, or two years of experience in pumping and use of SCADA software
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Currently possess a TCEQ Class C Water Distribution license
• Valid Class C Texas driver’s license
