About The Position

Leidos Defense Sensors, Sensor Research Analysis Division is seeking an experienced Radar Simulation Engineer to join a team in Huntsville, Alabama. The team provides analysis, modeling and simulation, and testing support for complex Missile Defense Agency radar systems. The role supports development of a real-time radar simulation product used for warfighter training and certifications, integrated missile defense exercises, and system-level testing to assist development of tactical command and control algorithms. The engineer will perform radar systems analysis, investigate customer-reported issues through root-cause identification and resolution, simplify tactical radar algorithms into representative effects that operate in real time, and document results for technical briefings to end users and project leadership. The role also involves developing analysis tools in MATLAB and Python to develop and test algorithms for software engineers and verify that the software operates according to design. This position works daily on-site at a government customer facility as part of a multi-contractor team, with regular interaction with industry partners and the government customer. The candidate is expected to represent Leidos technically, professionally, and ethically.
