About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Senior Quality Systems Specialist (level 4) based out of Everett, WA, to support the Quality Organization ESRC on 1st shift. This role involves maintaining and updating Excel raw-data for nonconforming parts, ensuring data integrity, standardized fields, and documentation of sources. The specialist will develop and maintain Excel pivot tables, formulas, and templates for ad-hoc analysis and staging of data for BI tools. A key aspect of the position is to build, publish, and refresh Power BI datasets and dashboards that summarize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as nonconforming count, rate, cost, and Corrective Action Request (CAR) aging for executive and operational audiences. The role also requires designing and maintaining Tableau workbooks and dashboards for root-cause analysis, control charts, supplier performance, and part-level detail. The specialist will use Power Query / Tableau Prep to ingest, cleanse, and merge inspection, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data on a scheduled basis. Other responsibilities include exporting and assembling weekly/monthly PowerPoint reports, capturing visuals from Power BI/Tableau, writing concise executive summaries, and annotating key actions. The specialist will troubleshoot data discrepancies between source systems, Excel staging, and BI dashboards, performing root-cause data validation and reconciliation. Partnering with Operations, Supplier Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve data gaps and prioritize dashboard requirements is essential. The role also involves tracking and reporting corrective action (CAR) status and aging, creating visualizations to highlight overdue actions and repeat offenders, providing training, standard work, and general guidance on work assignments. The specialist will respond to ad-hoc analytics requests, build custom views, and support deep-dive investigations into high-impact defects, continuously improving reporting processes, automation, and visualization standards to drive faster decision-making and defect reduction.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), with proven experience building and deploying business reports and dashboards
  • 5+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
  • 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams in a formal or informal role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling
  • Familiarity with Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance/control in aerospace, or equivalent experience in a highly regulated industry
  • College Degree or Applicable Experience

Responsibilities
