About The Position

A successful Senior Quality Engineering Lead at Fiserv owns end-to-end software quality for critical payment and financial technology platforms. They set the quality strategy, embed shift-left practices, and drive measurable improvements in stability, security posture, and release confidence. They partner across Engineering, Product, SRE/Operations, and Security to scale automation, strengthen CI/CD quality gates, and reduce production incidents that impact customers.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Engineering, or Test Automation.
3+ years leading quality strategy across multiple teams or a large product area.
Hands-on automation experience across 3+ test types (UI, API, system integration, performance).
1+ modern CI/CD pipeline implemented with defined quality gates (pass/fail thresholds, regression strategy, release readiness).

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience in financial services and/or regulated technology environments.
1+ year of experience applying AI-assisted development or AI-assisted code review in an engineering workflow.
2+ years owning quality metrics dashboards (e.g., defect leakage, incident trends, change failure rate, test effectiveness).

Responsibilities

Lead quality engineering strategy for one or more product domains, driving measurable improvements in defect escape rate, production incidents, and change failure rate.
Establish and operationalize quality standards across teams, including test strategy, coverage expectations, coding standards, and release criteria.
Drive shift-left quality by embedding validation earlier in the SDLC using automated unit/integration testing, static analysis, contract testing, and security scans.
Design, build, and scale test automation frameworks across UI, API, integration, and performance testing, and define/enforce CI/CD quality gates (thresholds, regression, release readiness, risk-based execution).
Leverage AI-assisted development and code review, partner with SRE/Operations using monitoring-driven insights, lead RCA and corrective/preventative actions, publish quality metrics/dashboards, present risk insights to leaders, coach teams via playbooks/training, and ensure security/compliance/audit alignment.
