About The Position

The Industrialization team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing standards for developing and industrializing manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role will work across the Industrialization team to build quality into the manufacturing process, ensuring process capability targets can be measured, met, deployed, and utilized for problem-solving prior to and in production. The role will also build product quality processes to measure, meet, and deploy critical-to-quality product needs and will be the focal point for creating, maintaining, and executing standards around qualifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) from an accredited university or college or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of in industrial quality.
  • Minimum of 6 additional years of experience in Production Process Control.
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process quality and product quality techniques and implement across industrialization efforts.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy and roadmap initiatives.
  • Serve as the focal point for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets.
  • Execute and own the qualifications of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team.
  • Monitor initial process capabilities and problem-solve shortcomings from expectation.
  • Manage project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process capability, qualifications, and product quality.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers across the site.
  • Engineer, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation and facilitate best practice sharing across the site.
  • Participate in early design reviews for manufacturability.
