About The Position

As an Engineer III, Quality, you will lead quality planning, drive process and product improvement, and solve issues at the root cause across manufacturing, test, and supplier teams. You will play a visible role in translating customer requirements into disciplined execution while helping teams improve performance, reduce risk, and strengthen compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, ISO standards, Six Sigma tools, and statistical methods.
  • Ability to define problems, identify root cause, and drive effective corrective action.
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation and ensuring quality requirements are addressed in engineering, test, and contractor deliverables.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and military requirements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or guide engineers, technicians, and inspectors in support of quality and program goals.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ CQE certification and/or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Experience in supplier quality engineering, including supplier audits and supplier corrective action management.
  • Background supporting complex technical products in electrical, mechanical, software, laser, optical, or supplier quality environments.
  • Experience leading SPC initiatives and improving inspection or measurement system effectiveness.
  • Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality planning and execution for programs and projects, translating customer and contract requirements into clear, effective quality activities.
  • Drive process and product improvement initiatives across manufacturing, test, and supplier teams to improve performance and reduce defects.
  • Develop and implement quality system procedures, work instructions, controls, and quality plans that improve consistency and compliance.
  • Analyze product and process data, inspection results, and quality trends to identify issues and recommend corrective action.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action efforts, including internal audits, Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards, and nonconforming material review.
  • Partner with assembly, test, and inspection teams to improve workmanship, inspection methods, sampling plans, and interpretation of specifications.
  • Serve as a key interface with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and communicate progress, risk, and results.
