About The Position

The Senior Quality Engineer supports software quality assurance and systems engineering solutions through automation, testing, infrastructure maintenance, operational support, and issue resolution. The role includes automating repetitive tasks and releases; maintaining infrastructure through backups, patch management, and hot fixes; auditing desktops for IT policy compliance; and conducting database integrity checks. The engineer investigates reported system issues, identifies root causes and trends, develops or escalates solutions, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and keeps stakeholders updated.

The position analyzes business, stakeholder, and technical requirements; maintains traceability among requirements, designs, and test cases; and contributes to user stories. It also supports daily system operations, monitors system health and performance, develops operational features and processes for eCommerce growth, designs testing processes and environments, reviews logs, documents engineering processes and designs, and mentors team members.

The role involves writing and configuring code in accordance with coding and security guidelines, documenting program revisions, identifying automation opportunities, and implementing telemetry under guidance. Additional duties include analyzing resource utilization and capacity, helping create capacity plans, configuring virtual machines and related cloud infrastructure, managing configuration baselines and version control, resolving project issues, and assisting with modular and extensible infrastructure designs.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field, plus 1 year of experience in software quality assurance, manual or automated testing, or related experience; OR a bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of those fields, plus 3 years of such experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining reusable, parallel, independent, highly scalable automation test suites using Java.
• Experience creating automated API and Azure Cloud test cases using Java Rest Assured, TestNG, Maven, and Extent Reports.
• Experience with performance testing using LoadRunner.
• Experience deploying rollouts using DevOps.
• Experience integrating a testing framework using Looper.
• Experience with QA testing methodologies and Agile software development.
• Experience executing SQL queries to fetch data.
• Experience designing test cases using a Cucumber framework.
• Experience using GIT to track code changes and using GITHUB.

Responsibilities

• Use automation tools to automate repetitive tasks and releases.
• Perform infrastructure maintenance, including backups, patch management, and hot fixes; escalate backup-media issues.
• Audit desktops for compliance with IT policies and conduct database integrity checks.
• Provide operational support and subject matter expertise for systems engineering solutions; research reported issues, identify trends and root causes, develop or escalate solutions, collaborate with teams, and update stakeholders.
• Analyze business, stakeholder, and technical requirements and assist in assessing existing solutions.
• Prepare and maintain a requirements traceability matrix linking business and functional requirements, design, and test cases.
• Contribute to user stories for component, module, or simple requirements.
• Perform complex maintenance and monitor the health and performance of existing systems engineering solutions.
• Develop and deliver operational features, management systems, and processes to accommodate growth and traffic on eCommerce websites.
• Design systems testing processes and environments; evaluate logs to proactively detect and document issues.
• Perform daily operational requirements to maintain reliable service; document engineering processes and designs; mentor and train team members.
• Write or configure code in accordance with coding guidelines, document development and revisions, identify automation opportunities, implement telemetry as required under guidance, and apply security policies.
• Analyze IT resource utilization, suggest cost-effective resource sizing, right-size applications to meet service levels, and assist with capacity plans.
• Identify configuration processes, tools, and baseline products for software, models, plans, and documents on low-complexity projects.
• Configure virtual machines for email, intranet, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and core business applications running in the cloud.
• Analyze and prioritize issues, identify feasible solutions, and evaluate resolution options for projects of moderate complexity.
• Maintain appropriate development and delivery branches, version-control changed code, tag versions, and record code differences.
• Assist with simple, modular, extensible, functional product or solution designs and evaluate design trade-offs across system components.
