About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO. This role leads the integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. The Senior Quality Engineer provides interpretation of complex requirements, develops quality metrics, and designs and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. They also develop quality criteria to support supplier selection activities, lead various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs, and develop and select methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Additionally, this role assists in the development of new standards repairs for non-conformances, analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions, develops and implements corrective actions, and performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. This position works under minimal direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • 5+ of Quality Inspection experience, including FAI (First Article Inspection)
  • 5+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certifications
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing Quality Engineering role
