Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the programs/contracts at this site
  • Experience with a Continuous Improvement System i.e. Lean, ACE, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Experience in a Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering role in operations and/or inspection (i.e. creating inspection methods, reviewing manufacturing plans, design for manufacturability activities)
  • Experience or knowledge of APQP and PPAP core elements
  • Experience in Aerospace industry or ISO9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing facility
  • Experience in structured RCCA approaches (DIVE, 8D, fault tree, redX, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and/or experience with FAA regulations
  • Experience as AS9100 internal auditor

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to Escapes, Quality Management System Procedures, Regulations and Compliance.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards & customer requirements.
  • Provide timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming material as Material Review Board (MRB) member.
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues.
  • Lead or participate in internal and external quality system and/or process audits.
  • Lead or participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
  • Engage with Engineering, and Operations in Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans reviews to identify potential product and process risks and mitigation actions.
  • Mentor other quality engineers on best practice inspection plans
  • Able to communicate to upper management/site leadership as well as customers
  • Manage producibility projects through data analytics
