Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or other related technical field. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience to include electronics, review and translate schematics, work instructions, safety regulations, and other technical documentation.
  • Previous experience within Quality Assurance to include root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Experience with principles, practices, and methods of safety, occupational health, and loss prevention programs.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience in hazardous waste, environmental cleanup, or chemical handling operations.
  • Quality and/or Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) experience.
  • Certified or able to obtain OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations (24 or 40 hr. HAZWOPER) certification or equivalent.
  • Functional knowledge and experience using maintenance management information systems and ability to access parts and equipment drawings and configuration systems.
  • Experience of methods of assessing safety hazards and controls;
  • Experience conducting accident investigations and safety inspections;
  • Experience in radar/facilities maintenance quality oversight including implementation of quality programs along with conducting effective assessments and inspections;
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing a comprehensive safety program; training techniques.
  • Knowledge of laws and OSHA regulations applicable to employee safety and occupational health;

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements for the ROTHR Texas Radar System.
  • Responsible for quality of services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality at the sites in Texas.
  • Lead and perform root cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement closed loop process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability at the site.
  • Serve as a program quality liaison between the customer organizations and relevant stakeholders as first responder for quality issues and concerns related to development and production products with the Site Manager and customer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
  • Ensure all hardware is appropriately documented in the equipment history records and align to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan.
  • Support AS9100 Internal, Corporate, and Certification Audits by performing inspections of all current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with the contract and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions at the site.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements.
