About The Position

Reata Engineering & Machine Works is a precision CNC machining and assembly company serving the medical, aerospace & defense, and semiconductor industries. We specialize in complex, tight-tolerance components and operate in a technology-driven, high-performance environment focused on quality and continuous improvement. We are seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector who can operate independently, lead inspection activities, and elevate our quality systems. This is not an entry-level role—you will be expected to take ownership of inspection processes, work through complex quality challenges, and play a key role in maintaining and improving our standards.

Requirements

5+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop preferred)
Strong experience with CMM programming and inspection
Advanced proficiency with precision measuring tools
Deep understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
Familiarity with CNC machining processes and CAD/CAM integration

Nice To Haves

ASQ certification or equivalent is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform complex inspections using advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs (programming + operation)
Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings with a high degree of accuracy
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100 standards
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances
Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent)
Oversee inspection planning, execution, and reporting
Mentor and support junior inspectors
Partner with Engineering and Production to resolve quality issues and improve processes
