About The Position

Equisoft Inc. is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to own quality assurance at every stage of the delivery process. The role reviews specifications to understand deliverables, identifies test requirements, develops and maintains functional test plans and test cases, executes tests, evaluates and reports results, and ensures deliverables meet specifications and requirements. It also isolates, replicates, and reports defects and verifies defect fixes. The specialist liaises with development, project management, and customers on quality, project scope, and deliverables; identifies potential quality issues through defined processes and communicates them through appropriate channels; and participates in key ceremonies throughout the project lifecycle. The position involves collaborating with software developers, architects, and project managers in a dynamic Agile environment. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The position permits 100% telecommuting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and five years of progressive related work experience after the degree; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields and three years of related work experience.
Three years of experience leading a team of quality assurance specialists in quality assurance processes.
Three years of experience with Life Insurance and Annuity business processes.
Three years of experience with relational databases and SQL.
Three years of experience participating in the full lifecycle of a project.
Three years of experience working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and maintain clear and concise functional test plans and test cases.
Execute and evaluate test cases and report test results.
Ensure deliverables meet specifications and requirements.
Isolate, replicate, and report defects, and verify defect fixes.

Identify potential quality issues through defined processes and communicate them through appropriate channels.
