About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior QA Software Test Engineer to join its NVIDIA-Cumulus system Ethernet group. The role is part of the QA team, focused on testing Ethernet switches and routers, including the AI and Spectrum-X solutions. The engineer will participate in requirements and design reviews, develop test plans, execute tests, and build automated tests for features of Cumulus Linux.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 6 years of demonstrable experience in Software Quality Engineering.
Strong Python or other scripting-language skills.
Strong technical abilities in problem solving, designing, coding, and debugging.
Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols such as MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, or EVPN.
Experience using test tools from Ixia or Spirent and working with test management.
Proficiency with tools such as HP ALM.
Good experience working with Unix- or Linux-based operating systems.
Ability to multitask, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach.
A solid foundation in and understanding of software engineering practices.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Ansible.
Experience bringing up and troubleshooting Ethernet interfaces and modules.
Knowledge of performance testing and resolving performance issues.
Experience with CI methodologies and tools such as Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

Functionally test Layer 2 and Layer 3 features of NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet switch systems running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux.
Write detailed feature and system test plans and define and design test beds and topologies.
Identify and report testing issues in the defect tracking system and validate fixes and workarounds.
Develop automated test suites for features of NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux.
Build and maintain automation for continuous functional regression testing.
Collaborate with design, test, and other internal engineering groups to identify, report, and resolve issues.
